Thank you for your great article! If you are looking for free historical weather data, the Visual Crossing Weather API includes some weather history data in both their free tier and during their trial period.
I wrote an article on importing the weather data into python: https://medium.com/analytics-vidhya/how-to-import-weather-data-into-python-scripts-7e9ff54f6aca
Thank you, Andrew. I will look into that 😉
Thank you so much for this brilliant, step-by-step explanation. It happens that I needed to extract info from Nagano prefecture and you helped me a lot. Thanks again 🙂
Great write-up! Is there a way to expand this to other cities beyond Japan? I believe that the weather data provider has a ‘World Weather’ page with other cities such as HK and Singapore. Thoughts?
I’m not sure if there is any page like you described. Can you elaborate more?
